The trip started out as a photography club opportunity, and ended up being a week-long, cabin on lake Michigan retreat, for Mother & daughter! It was dreamy. Our cabin was so cozy, and the proprietors of 'Loc Haven' were absolutely delightful in every way. One of our highlights, was for sure, our last night when they invited us to the house to talk about our trip.
highly abbreviated and approximate (but for prosperity sake) -
Tuesday - late night arrival of daughter from the north
Wednesday - early morning departure. we left Mackenzie's car in Plymouth at grandma's house to ease the trip home for Kenz.
thursday - sunrise was a spiritual thing. it was like going to chruch.talked with the man upstairs, thanked him for bringing me to this place with the sleeping child of mine back in the cabin. by heart overflowed and leaked out of my eyes. after a morning fire in the fireplace, we explored. We then met up with the photography club at thier cabin and chatted for a while, ending the evening with a campfire on thier beach.
friday - we had a full day of photography outings, starting out on the tip of the thumb at 'the winding road'. we visited Al Johnson's restaurant (no goats that day) Cave Point, and a few other picturesque sites.
Saturday - Explored the cute little town of Fish Creek
Sunday - Fall Festival in Sister Bay
Monday - After another sunrise on the lakeside deck, i went for a drive alone in search of more photo ops. Then returned & stayed in the cabin all day! We made & ordered the wedding "save the date' cards and got really far on the address/guest list!
Tuesday - last day of exploring. Went to the Viking for the Fish Boil & then back to Loc Haven to visit with our hosts Roy & Jo Cole
Wednesday - depart for home 9am
